With 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, Greg is an entrepreneurial-minded business leader with cross-functionality in management, start-ups, sales, marketing, professional affairs, and finance & accounting. Formerly, he was co-founder of STI Technologies Inc. and held several operational and Board committee roles during his 17-year tenure. Greg holds an Executive MBA from St. Mary’s University and is proud to have been given a ‘25th Anniversary Alumni Impact Award’. Greg also holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool in which the dissertation focused on Medication Adherence and scholarly practice research.

Tim Gillis

Tim holds a CA designation and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia. He was the former CEO of STI Technologies, and steered STI through a period of dramatic growth culminating in the sale of the business to IQVIA in February 2017. Prior to his CEO appointment in 2014, Tim served as CFO and VP of Operations and in the past has held senior positions at a number of successful companies including Stantec, Ernst & Young, Clarke Inc., and Clear Picture Corporation. Currently, Tim serves on the Board of Eli Technologies, NextLeaf Solutions (CSE:OILS) and serves as an advisor to Agkinex, Beyond Food Inc., and Blue Charm Adherence Inc.

Leo has a broad range of experience as a Chief Information Officer, with a deep-rooted professional business and technical acumen that has driven institutional change and organizational readiness through multi-stage startups in Canada and internationally. As the former CTO of Kinduct, the CIO for St. Bernard Assure (Switzerland) and FlagstoneRe, as well as the Vice President of Technology at STI Technologies, Leo has built a track record of success. Leo holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Liverpool University.

Michael is an accomplished and well-respected leader with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. He has consistently delivered strong results across different businesses (Oncology, Specialty & Primary Care) and led multiple brands at both the country and global level. His experience includes building and leading commercial teams, product launches, global strategy development, partnerships and corporate integration. Michael holds a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science from Saint Francis Xavier University.

Ed Hanada

Dr. Ed Hanada is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Pain Medicine specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience in treating persons with musculoskeletal disorders. He is a member in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nova Scotia respectively and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Canadian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Canadian Medical Association. During his academic career, he collaborated extensively on award-winning health care technology solutions by leading Engineering and Computer Science student teams in Halifax and in Toronto.

Blue Charm Adherence Inc. sets up Basecamp in Volta

We are pleased to announce that in early March, we set up shop in the Volta incubation hub in Halifax, joining approximately another 49 technology companies. Volta offers a wealth of services in order to assist in the early startup stages of great companies. This includes both knowledge and financial based resources.


Blue Charm Adherence Inc. closes private offering under the NSIETC

The management team at Blue Charm Adherence is very happy to report that we have closed the private offering under the Nova Scotia Innovation Equity Tax Credit program. The investor pool included 27 individuals from the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario.
